I have recently been working really hard on producing my own range of hand-dyed yarns for Yarnsmith and I am delighted to have now launched "Pure Alchemy" (a tongue in cheek reference to never being quite sure what we're going to get!). We currently offer two yarns; a lovely soft 100% merino (technically a 2 ply yarn but knits as a 4 ply) and a 100% mercerised 4 ply cotton - fantastic for the summer. Both yarns lend themselves to shawls, scarves and wraps and to this end I'm also working on a series of patterns for either 1 or 2 skein projects.(Thanks to those volunteers who are, this very minute, giving the first pattern a test-run!)

Each skein is hand-painted and we never dye more than three skeins in one colourway, providing a pretty exclusive product! I have taken Pure Alchemy to a number of venues and it has been greeted very favourably. With comments such as "all the colours are so lovely one could justify buying one of each and then knitting presents for friends!" I can see the range expanding.
